Empowering Communities for Sustainable Development: Tackling Poverty and Environmental Conservation in Sub-Saharan Africa
About us
In Sub-Saharan Africa, over 1.1 billion people endure acute poverty, with more than half being children.
In Tanzania, despite recent progress, 44.9% of the population lives on less than $2.15 a day.
The Kilimanjaro region, renowned for its natural beauty, faces its own challenges, with 22.6% of residents living below the poverty line.
These communities are not just statistics; they are families striving for a better future amidst hardships. Your support can make a tangible difference, empowering them to overcome poverty and protect their environment. Join us in this vital mission—your generosity can transform lives today.

Empower Women; Women-Led Eco-Entrepreneurship Program
When you empower a woman, you uplift an entire community. According to UNESCO, women are disproportionately affected by poverty in Sub-Saharan Africa but are critical drivers of change when given opportunities. With your support, we can help women in Kilimanjaro launch eco-friendly businesses, create jobs, and break the cycle of poverty.
This program provides women with training, resources, and startup grants to build businesses that protect the environment and support their families.
- Total Project Cost: £300,000
- Monthly Support:
- £30/month: Trains one woman entrepreneur.
- £1,500/month: Supplies startup grants for 50 women.
- £25,000/month: Builds a training center, supporting 1,000 women annually.

Help Empower a Community: Sustainable Livelihoods Agroforestry Project
Restore Hope with Sustainable Livelihoods Agroforestry
Right now, the slopes of Kilimanjaro are struggling under the weight of deforestation and soil degradation. Farmers lose their livelihoods as their land becomes less productive, trapping them in poverty. According to the World Bank, over 44.9% of Tanzanians live on less than $2.15 a day (2018), with rural communities most affected.
Your support can change this. By planting 1 million trees annually, we can restore 1,000 hectares of land, improve soil health, and increase farm yields by 20–30%. Together, we can give 10,000 farmers the tools they need to thrive.

Help us provide Clean Cookstoves for Sustainable Living: Protecting Families and Forests
Every day, families on the slopes of Kilimanjaro face a harsh reality: forests are disappearing, their health is at risk, and their time is slipping away. Tanzania loses a staggering 469,000 hectares of forest annually, with firewood collection being a leading cause of deforestation (FAO). This environmental devastation not only disrupts biodiversity and water cycles but also fuels climate change. For women and children, the burden is particularly heavy—they spend up to 20 hours each week collecting firewood, robbing them of opportunities for education, economic growth, and precious family time (World Bank). Meanwhile, traditional stoves and open fires release dangerous indoor air pollution, contributing to 4 million deaths annually, a crisis that disproportionately impacts women and children (WHO). By providing energy-efficient stoves, we can alleviate these struggles, protect forests, and offer families a chance at a healthier, more hopeful future.
Clean cookstoves have a transformative impact on the environment, economy, health, and society. By reducing firewood consumption by up to 60%, these stoves conserve forests, decrease CO₂ emissions, and save an estimated 1 ton of CO₂ annually per stove. Economically, households experience a 30–50% reduction in firewood expenses, freeing resources for other essential needs. Health benefits are profound, as clean cookstoves eliminate 70–90% of indoor air pollution, significantly reducing respiratory illnesses and improving overall family well-being. Socially, the time saved from firewood collection empowers women economically and enables children to attend school. As a donor, you’ll receive impact reports showcasing your contribution’s environmental and social effects and be recognized as a Forest Protector Partner, with opportunities to participate in exclusive stove distribution ceremonies on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
